Permitting Update

We received an ESA Section 7 Biological Opinion from NMFS on February 10, 2017 for the Project's effects on the threatened California Central Valley spring-run Chinook salmon ESU, the threatened California Central Valley steelhead DPS, and the North American green sturgeon Southern DPS. The Opinion concluded that the Project is not likely to jeopardize continued existence, [...]

Pre-implementation monitoring update

Initial results from monitoring experiments completed by Cramer Fish Sciences fisheries biologists are available! Key findings include: Non-native predatory fish (largemouth bass and sunfish) have been observed within the large backwater pool at the lower end of the Project reach. Formal consultation has been initiated with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).
